By completing payment in Stripe Checkout you enter into a binding agreement for the selected membership plan and accept these Terms. For plans with a 12‑month commitment, cancellation during the initial term can only be performed by the Club.

1. Membership plans

We offer the following plans (prices are shown at checkout):

  • Pro Membership (12-month binding): Unlimited access to all scheduled classes and open mats. Twelve (12) months minimum term. Renews monthly thereafter.

  • Flex Membership (No Binding): Unlimited access. Month‑to‑month. Cancel anytime before the next renewal.

  • Pro Student Membership (12 months binding): Same access at a reduced price. A valid student ID must be presented upon request.

  • Flex Student Membership (No binding): Same access at a reduced price. Student ID required.

We may periodically verify student status. Providing false information may result in repricing, suspension, or termination.

2. Start date, term, and auto‑renewal

Your membership starts on the payment date (or on a specified future start date for campaigns/trials). Subscriptions auto‑renew monthly until cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

3. 12‑month commitment (binding plans only)

  • Length: Twelve consecutive months from the start date.

  • Cancellation during commitment: Members cannot self‑cancel in Stripe during the initial 12‑month term. Cancellation can only be executed by the Club upon written request and subject to the rules below.

  • Early termination: The Club may grant early termination for documented cases of:
    (a) Permanent relocation (>50 km from Bergen) documented by the National Registry address;
    (b) Injury/illness preventing participation for >3 months (doctor’s certificate);
    (c) Other compelling grounds at the Club’s discretion.

  • Early termination without grounds: If you choose to end the agreement without qualifying grounds, the Club may charge an early termination fee equal to remaining months × monthly price. As an alternative, the Club may offer a freeze (see §4).

4. Freeze / pause

You may request to freeze your membership for up to 2 months per calendar year (minimum 14 days’ notice), or longer with medical documentation. No charges accrue during an approved freeze. The commitment period is extended by the freeze length.

5. Right of withdrawal (distance sale)

You have a 14‑day cooling‑off period from the order date. To exercise this right, email 10thpbergen@gmail.com within the deadline. If you have already used the services during the cooling‑off period, the Club may charge a proportional amount for the services used.

6. Payment and arrears

  • Payments are processed via Stripe (cards and supported methods). If a charge fails, Stripe will retry automatically.

  • Missed payments: We send reminders and then a debt‑collection notice with a 14‑day deadline. Unpaid claims may be transferred to a debt‑collection partner pursuant to Norwegian law.

  • The Club may suspend access for unpaid memberships.

7. Price changes

We may adjust prices. You will be notified at least 30 days before the next renewal. For binding plans, the original price applies through the initial term unless otherwise agreed.

8. House rules and safety

  • Follow coaches’ instructions, safety rules, and good mat etiquette.

  • Training is at your own risk; you are responsible for having valid insurance where required (including NIF schemes, where applicable).

  • The Club may suspend or expel members for serious breaches (violence, harassment, doping, etc.). Fees are typically non‑refundable in case of expulsion.

9. Age and guardians

Members under 18 require parental/guardian consent. Guardians are responsible for payment.

10. Schedule changes and events

Membership includes scheduled classes and open mats. Some seminars/events may require separate registration/fees. Schedules may change (holidays, illness, events) without refunds, provided a reasonable offering is maintained.

11. Intellectual property and branding

“10th Planet” is a licensed brand. Members may not use the Club’s name/logo commercially without written consent.

12. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Stripe acts as an independent controller for its payment processing.

13. Assignment

The Club may assign this agreement to a successor in a business transfer, provided your rights are not materially impaired.

14. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Club’s liability is limited to direct losses caused by material breach. We disclaim liability for indirect or consequential losses. This does not affect your non‑waivable consumer rights under Norwegian law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall be brought before Bergen District Court after efforts to resolve amicably.
